Why message people who liked
A like is a clear sign of interest, and most likes go nowhere. A short message ("Hi, I see you like the jacket. I can knock a bit off if you take it today") turns some of them into sales. With dozens of likes a day, nobody does this by hand.
Notifications and manual sending
When you open the tab, Vintly fetches up to the 60 newest notifications on its own. Filters: All, Likes (with a count) and Reviews. Every like has a button whose label tells you where that person stands:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ✉ Send | you can send the message; a click sends it right away |
| Checking… / Sending… | Vintly is checking the chat or sending right now |
| ✓ Sent | the message went out |
| Already messaged | Vintly already wrote to this person about this item, or the chat was not empty |
| Error | it failed; click again |
✉ Reply to all (9) messages every like with a "✉ Send" label on the list, one after another, every 4-9 seconds. Manual sending takes whatever text is in the box right now, even if you have not saved it. Sending works like Vinted’s "Message" button: it opens a chat with that person about that item and sends the text.
Automatic message on like
- Write the textThe card at the top holds a ready greeting; change it to your own. Short, human, with something concrete (a discount, ships today, "ask about measurements"). The text goes out exactly as typed: variables like {name} or {item} do not work here.
- Decide the scope"Only clean chats" (on by default) skips any chat about that item that already has something in it: a message from the buyer, yours, or a price offer. With it off, Vintly skips only chats where you have already written.
- Turn it onThe switch in the card header saves everything at once; Save confirms later text changes. The "Enabled · every 5 min" status confirms it is running. The first check happens after about 5 minutes, and every save while it is on restarts that 5-minute countdown.
What happens every 5 minutes
- CheckEvery 5 minutes, while Chrome and a Vinted tab are open.
- Newest 20Fetches the 20 newest notifications and picks the new likes.
- Chat empty?Checks the chat with that person against your scope.
- SendEvery 4-9 seconds, one person at a time.
| Rule | Value | Details |
|---|---|---|
| What it needs | Chrome, a Vinted tab, a subscription | The Vintly panel can be hidden. Without an open Vinted tab the check is skipped. |
| Reach | the 20 newest notifications | All notification types count. If more arrived during a break, the older likes do not get a message. |
| One message | per person and item | Every like is handled once, and Vintly also checks you have not already written in that chat. |
| Gap | 4-9 s | Random, so a series does not look automated. |
| Vinted limit | up to 4 retries | On "too many requests" Vintly waits longer each time, then stops and returns to the rest at the next check. |
| Other errors | no retry | That like is skipped for good; you can send by hand from the list. |
With the Alerts tab open, the results of the last check appear under the card, e.g. "✓ Sent to anna_k".
Common questions
I changed the text. Will people who already got a message get the new one?
No. Vintly remembers which likes it already handled and sees your earlier message in the chat, so the new text goes only to new likes.
I closed the browser for the night. What about the night’s likes?
Once a Vinted tab is open, the automation starts at the next check, within 5 minutes, and replies to likes among the 20 newest notifications. If more came in overnight, handle the older ones by hand from the list.
The status says "Enabled" but nothing goes out
Check that a Vinted tab is open and your subscription is active. After an extension update or a browser restart, switch it off and on again to restart the checks.
